Quogue Renovation

Quogue

When this Manhattan family invited us to see the Hamptons house they bought in Quogue, we knew as we drove down the private gated lane that it was going to be a special place. The Southampton house was beautifully set, but the builder left the finishing interior architectural touches incomplete, and the interior design was a blank slate. +

The T-shaped island was replaced with a more family-friendly kitchen island, framing the hood and centered on the fireplace. Hand-hewn beams and paneling were carefully addressed throughout, accompanied by white linen window coverings that flutter in the breeze. The handrails and doors were custom-painted a soft gray-blue. Dramatic lighting in the family room, den, dining room, and stairwell add to the beach vibe. Every room was transformed, including the guest room, which now serves as a cabana for those coming in from the pool and pickleball court.
